About Me

I am a journalism and communication student at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. 

I served as the managing editor of the Old Gold & Black student newspaper for the 2023 and 2024 calendar years. I have executive leadership experience in the newsroom and practice in news reporting, feature writing, magazine writing and radio broadcasts. 

In 2024, I also worked as a summer news intern at the Winston-Salem Journal, where I covered a variety of local news and feature stories.

I am particularly interested in local-level journalism and news accessibility.

Wilkes County teacher charged with sending lewd messages to students. Warrants detail messages, conversations with alleged victims

David Lee Gregory, 40, of Briar Creek Drive in North Wilkesboro, was charged with 10 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, five counts of attempted sexual activity with a student, three counts of dissemination to minors under 16 years old and two counts of attempted second-degree sexual exploitation, according to arrest warrants.The warrants outline allegations against Gregory that he took indecent liberties with eight girls and attempted to have sex with girls at his home.
